Theatre of Ramps

Performing Art Center

Located at the intersection of Stevenson, Jessie, and 6th Street in San Francisco, The Theatre of Ramps reimagines the performing arts center as an open, participatory urban stage. Circulation becomes performance through a network of sculpted ramps that weave through and around the building, forming platforms, overlooks, and pathways that function as both movement routes and performance spaces. Concrete, steel, and glass reference the surrounding urban fabric, while fluid ramp geometry introduces motion and play. Interior theaters and studios connect directly to the ramp system, enabling seamless transitions between indoor and outdoor performances.
